Job Purpose Reporting directly to the Vice President, Strategy Development and Partnerships, NE, the Executive Assistant provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship.
The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to RI Transition Services and Strategic workforce development.
The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and meticulous organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.
The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
Key Accountabilities Extensive calendar management, including prioritizing and arranging meetings, workshops, appointments and conferences in the US or the UK Coordinate complex logistics for travel by developing itineraries, booking domestic and international flights and other transportation, arranging accommodation, and meeting coordination, and ensuring that all expense information is provided Manage a wide range of administrative and executive and personal support related tasks, including drafting routine correspondence and organizing/maintaining electronic files, completing expenses, time approvals, etc.
Ensure the Senior leader is fully prepared and informed for all meetings, including pre-read materials relevant to each meeting Maintain and manage confidential information which has been provided by email, by letter, by telephone or in-person, or other modes of communication Organize, create, and manage the organization structure charts using a variety of applications.
Qualifications Extensive relevant C-Suite level executive assistant experience is required, 3
years Associates Degree a plus, but not required Ability to manage high levels of confidentiality and act as a trusted confidante Very well organized and on top of all relevant issues and matters at all times Ability to multi-task and work flexibly in a highly dynamic work environment Self-directed and self-motivated and able to work independently with little or no supervision Energetic and enthusiastic ambassador of the National Grid brand, particularly given the high level of interface with external visitors and external telephone calls Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively, and to foster and promote a collaborative culture Focused, analytical and ability to think strategically and identify creative solutions Ability to build positive internal and external relationships at all levels Strong event planning skills, and ability to manage events Strong computer skills in Office 365 and SharePoint and a willingness to be trained on new applications in support of executing on the responsibilities outlined in this role description Requirements Discretion and Business Ethics - Ability to effectively protect confidential information, serve the needs of senior leadership; preserve/facilitate company values and ethics; Customer Oriented - Takes personal responsibility for correcting problems promptly and communicates effectively with external and internal customers to monitor delivery and satisfaction; Attention to Detail - Reviews accuracy of own work and checks that all details are accurate to ensure multiple tasks and projects are completed on time; Analytical Thinking - Identifies basic relationships, with the ability to prepare special reports by combining and summarizing data from several sources; Initiative - Recognizes and proactively addresses upcoming opportunities or obstacles and can investigate the situation beyond routine questioning; and Minimal travel may be required but will be planned well ahead of time More Information #LI-JF1 #LI-HYBRID Salary $85,000 - $100,000 a year Salary commensurate with location and experience This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
