Job Purpose We are seeking an adaptable, outcome and results-oriented Lead Product Manager to play a major role in the development of digital at National Grid Ventures.
Working closely with senior stakeholders in product, design, user research and engineering, you will drive the advancement of a new or early-stage product within the NGV digital ecosystem.
You will oversee a cross-functional team with end-to-end ownership and accountability for delivery and value.
What you'll do Ownership of a product line at NGV, overseeing a cross-functional delivery team and taking responsibility for the delivery of value for the business Respond to customer need, undertaking discovery and validation, and working with user research to gain an understanding of user personas and pain points Work with business leaders and senior stakeholders to develop product strategies, taking a value-driven approach to developing product propositions, roadmaps, user stories and product features Work across multiple domains to understand problems, find solutions, unblock teams and improve velocity Establish measures of success, and monitor and report on product KPIs Lead on the development of business cases, operating plans and product development strategies Maintain regular communications with stakeholders and assist in the development of materials to communicate progress to executives Play a major role in the growth and development of digital at NGV, mentoring junior members of staff and actively growing our capability Be an advocate for innovation, design-thinking and digital ways of working Successful candidates will have 8
years of experience in digital product management and software delivery (gained in any arena) Experience of leading large product teams, and delivery with a multi-squad product model 8
years of experience of all stages of the product lifecycle, with practical knowledge of what is needed to bring digital products to life Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of using influence without authority to unblock delivery Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and prioritize effectively An ability to understand key technical concepts, and to work closely with engineering, data, and other SMEs to design and deliver technical solutions Above all, a desire to build products and services that customers will love and that contribute to the broader aims of the organization More Information Our organization follows a hybrid work structure in our service territory (NY & MA and adjacent states) where employees can work remotely or from the office, as needed.
