Technician - R&D Technician IV

R&D Technician IV Our client, one of the largest medical technology companies in the U.
S.
, is seeking a R&D Technician IV in their Waltham MA location.
You'll be responsible to assist engineers, scientists, in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience with schematics, engineering drawings which will align successfully with the organization.

Assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.
This level position requires an extensive knowledge base and a high degree of independence.
Key
Responsibilities:
Constructs prototype products and test fixtures from concepts.
Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
Troubleshoots and reworks existing electronic equipment, prototypes, and systems down to the PCA level.
This may include cable and PCA re-work/modification.
Organizes, coordinates, and executes testing or manufacture of prototypes with minimal engineering guidance, developing or revising test methods.
Prepares reports/documentation/project plans to communicate results and recommendations.
Schedules, organizes and documents equipment calibration in electronic database.
This may include communication to third party vendors.
Assists project teams in obtaining necessary materials, services, and test data, with internal or external resources.
Continuously improves process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers, engineers, and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes.
Trains/Coaches/Advises team members on the technical aspects of their job including interpreting and rationalizing results.
Qualifications Capable to adhere to J-STD-001 for soldering and inspection for electrical re-work.
Soldering certification to IPC 610 or willing to complete certifications.
3-5 Years of experience Able to work with schematics, engineering drawings and good written and verbal instructions.
Able to troubleshoot and rework electronic equipment, prototypes, and systems.
