Square Medical Group is looking for an energized and experienced Full-Time, Part-Time or Per Diem Recovery Support Specialists to join our team to build an exciting new Co-Occurring Enhanced Residential Rehabilitation Services (COE-RRS) program in Waltham.
This new 16 bed program will provide a recovery home for adult men in a beautiful rehabilitated Victorian building with a large backyard on the Charles River.
The program is a new model that will offer an extended stay and more robust staffing for residents with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders.
Square Medical Group is fast growing, in the fall of 2023 we are opening another men's COE-RRS in Framingham and in 2024 women's program in Weymouth.
Responsibilities:
Works with team to integrate new residents into the River House community.
Provides ongoing recovery oriented support to residents.
Works with residents to engage in menu planning, food shopping, cooking, preparing meals and clean-up.
Provides transportation to residents to medical appointments, job interviews and other activities related to residents' individual goals.
Supports residents' engagement in daily house chores, including providing training in accomplishing a specific chore.
Work with clinical staff to provide group and milieu treatment.
Assists clinicians, care coordinators and medical and nursing staff to provide services to residents.
Assesses and tracks clients' stages of change and stages of treatment readiness.
Work collaboratively with persons served to understand how addiction and/or substance abuse impact all areas of life;.
Addresses consequences of use regardless of stages of change, and supporting readiness, relapse prevention, and long-term recovery.
Facilitates access to community based resources for any mental health or substance abuse related concerns as needed by the person served.
Provides accurate and timely documentation, as required by program.
Reports to the Recovery Support Specialist Supervisor or designee on a daily basis to seek guidance, supervision and support in their work.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED; Associates degree in human services preferred.
Previous experience working with adults in a human service setting.
Previous work with adults who have substance use, addictive and co-occurring disorders preferred.
Must demonstrate good organizational skills, effective written, verbal, and computer skills.
Must have computer literacy related to the requirements of the position.
Knowledge of Core Competencies as identified by the employee's assigned department.
Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence and submit a copy of satisfactory record of driving from the state of residence of registry of motor vehicles.
Must complete MA and ADP.
Must undergo Criminal Offense Record Information (CORI) process.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
