Market expansion has created demand for a Financial Leader for MA and NH health plans. As an advisor to the Market President and CEO, you will participate in formulating and administering organization financial policies and procedures as well as setting the strategic direction of the health plan. Directing, negotiating and handling activities of the business units finance, business analytics & reporting departments will include extensive trend analysis.
Daily activity will include overseeing preparation of accurate and timely financial report, the review and communication and presentation of strategic plans, operating budgets and forecasts. You will provide financial plan for performance variances, operating alternatives, program and investment initiatives, etc. You will also interpret financial reports for management team, monitor business processes and systems to ensure data and system integrity, set targets and measures and directly link to business unit and corporate objectives, evaluate program effectiveness and ensure reporting accuracy. Actively monitor legislative and political developments affecting the business unit finances. Coordinate political contribution activity, interact with lobbyists, attend political fundraisers, and ensure compliance with political contribution statutes. Oversee Health Plan Medical Economic intitatives. Provide oversight for the internal AD HOC reporting functions. Serve as contact for the State, corporate and business unit functions regarding financial matters. Ensure that monthly reporting requirements are met. Provide multi-directional communications. Support Health Plan Contracting validation and Vendor ROI
Ideal candidate will have a B.S. degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent. MBA, CPA, CMA preferred. 7-9 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis. 5
years of supervisory/management experience. Experience in public accounting, operations, financial analysis, information systems and health care or insurance desirable.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
