Senior SQL Database Administrator
We currently engaged in a project that requires a Senior SQL Database Administrator on a multi-year consulting engagement. In this role, the Database Administrator will:
Perform database administration tasks that include performance improvement and optimization of very large databases;
Write, debug and optimize complex stored procedures and queries for mission critical applications;
Perform DTS Programming
Create T-SQL solutions for custom monitoring and alerting to include reporting, maintenance and management of the SQL Server database environment;
Perform the triage and analysis of support requests related to production and non-production databases;
Perform database upgrades including non-production environments and testing;
Provide expert recommendations on SQL query optimization;
Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues;
Perform backup and recovery for production enterprise systems;
The appropriate individual will have demonstrated experience in the following:
Database Administration in large enterprise environments with Very Large Databases (VLDB's) (> 2 TB) for both OLTP and OLAP workloads;
Subject Matter Expert - SQL Server 2008, 2008R2;
Subject Matter Expert in Replication: transactional, snapshot and merge;
Windows 2003, 2008 and 2008R2 in multi-instance enterprise environment;
Large quantities of transactions on an OLTP workload;
