Alegeus Technologies develops and supports a complicated benefits software package utilizing real time payment network transaction systems.
Senior QA Automation Engineer with experience in all aspects of automation testing. General skills include the technical ability to drive the automation test strategy by designing, developing and deploying automated and manual tests by utilizing QA Software tools and frameworks.
MAJOR
Responsibilities:
Create system and feature-based test plans from functional specifications
Execute complex test plans with an understanding of how to build new coverage into the existing automation test suite
Collaborate with development teams to understand how development changes affect ongoing Automation efforts
Identify the components of the system to be automated based on business priority and benefits of automated testing
Propose and implement test automation solutions and frameworks, commercial and homegrown
Develop, execute and maintain automation test scripts, utilities, data sets leveraging commercial and/or open source tools
Provide test coverage analysis based on automation results
Standardize use of QA tools and processes based on quality assurance standards and best practices
Actively participate in QA related activities (functional, integration, regression manual and automated testing)
Write and review QA documentation
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE/
Experience:
5
years experience in Software Testing/Quality Assurance of web based applications with a strong background in building comprehensive automated test suites and frameworks using industry leading tools such as QuickTest Pro/UFT, Selenium; and Web Services testing tools like SoapUI
Ability to analyze automated test results and metrics, perform root cause failure analysis
Ability to quickly learn new automation applications
Strong background in QA methodologies and best practices
Strong testing experience in high-traffic, data-driven applications including testing multiple backend (relational DB) systems
Ability to write SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting
Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
Experience in requirement gathering, analysis and validation
Analytical, problem solving, decision-making and quantitative skills
Experience in test management and planning, test effort estimation, test execution and monitoring
Ability to prioritize tasks to best meet departmental and organizational goals
Ability to collaborate effectively with different project teams to achieve QA goals
Experience in SqlServer/.NET technologies/Visual Studio is desired, but not required
