Description: Aspect consulting is seeking a Application Architect for a company that provides electrical services. The Application Architect is responsible for documenting, planning, designing and implementing complete and integrated Application Architectures that support the organizational mission. The Application Architect shapes the application portfolio assets as enterprise Application and drives the development of the application architecture strategy, principles, standards, designs, and models.
Responsibilities/Roles:
Technical thought leader capable of transforming development processes by engaging in end-to-end idea management: generate, socialize, evangelize, implement, nurture, and cause the adoption of new technical initiatives.
Participate in application architecture planning (including system partitioning and framework design) to determine optimal solution architecture, efficiency, maintainability, and scalability.
Drive the organizational Application Architecture activities in accordance with the Enterprise Architecture Strategy.
Analyze the current architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvement such as architectural modularity, business processes, expanding capacity, reducing time & cost, and increasing effectiveness.
Collaborate with the solution architecture team to ensure solutions fit within the overall architecture.
Consulting: Build and maintain credibility & trust when exposed to executive and senior level management and business partners.
Skills/Requirements:
Experience in Integration Architecture, Application Lifecycle, Analyzing Current State Architecture.
Ability to translate business needs into architecture requirements and develop high-level system narratives, storyboards, and user interface prototypes.
Experience in object-oriented analysis and design techniques including use case analysis, object modeling, and database schema.
Skilled in n-tier application development and design.
Ability to lead the development of the architectural strategies, principles, blueprints, models and designs for the future-state, as well as the documentation of the current-state architecture.
Well rounded technology experience/exposure Java, Microsoft, IBM, Open Source, SAP, Oracle etc.
History of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
Possesses the essential consulting skills. These skills include but are not restricted to planning & preparation, expectation setting, persuasion, negotiation & objection handling, tact & diplomacy, sales & commercial awareness.
Written & Verbal Communication Skills: Articulate and effective communicator & presenter, able to describe complex problems and solutions in simple or understandable terms.
Education:
Bachelor's or Masters Degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related study, or equivalent experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
