Reporting into the Wolters Kluwer Health CTO team, this newly created role is crucial to the innovation process of one of the leading global healthcare technology companies.

In the role of Senior Software Engineer, you will take early ideas and build prototypes, while experimenting with advanced technologies and platforms. You should be willing to take on challenges of unknown dimensions, and work hand in hand with clinicians, customers, and data scientists to prototype and test early concepts. You will need to have very strong technical skills, deep curiosity, business acumen, and the ability to think fast and act fast.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop feasibility proof of concepts and prototypes for early market testing
Rapidly investigate new technologies and embed them in our products
Collaborate with product managers, clinicians, data scientists, and software engineers
Collaborate with architects to inform emerging product architecture
Collaborate with other technology teams to determine requirements for and integrate with existing products
Plan and execute tasks within an Agile/Scrum environment
Follow best practices and standards for coding
Remain current with evolving industry trends and technologies and bring ideas forward

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications: JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field
Experience:

years of experience in commercial software development
7
years of experience in modern programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python
Expert in modern development frameworks such as AngularJS, Backbone, React, Ember, Sencha
Experience as a full stack developer
4
years of experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases
Multiple server-side Java development technologies and tools such as servlets, Spring, Struts, JDBC, XML, JMS, ActiveMQ, Apache web server, and Tomcat
Experience with API design and REST principles
Experience with single-page application development and responsive web design
Experience with mobile application development for iOS or Android
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
Healthcare experience is a strong plus
Ability and willingness to rapidly learn new technologies
Strong collaboration skills and desire to work in a highly collaborative environment
Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and listening), with ability to build positive working relationships across multiple groups within the organization
Ability to work with ambiguity and utilize sound judgment and decision making skills
Proven ability to work and collaborate with subject matter experts and customers
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Domestic travel 5% to 10% of total work time

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
