Your Impact at TESARO:

The Executive Director will provide two important roles in the company. The first is lead a team of discovery scientists to deliver new assets into the TESARO pipeline from external partnerships. The second is to act as Early Development Program Leader (DPL) for a matrix team responsible for delivering early stage assets to IND. The candidate will report to the Head of Research & Early Development.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a highly-focused and experienced discovery team of both small molecule and biotherapeutic focused scientists. Build and win support for strategic operational plans for early development programs that are aligned with late development and commercial goals.
Oversee matrixed early development team tasked with defining and delivering on program milestones.
Ensure proactive and effective cross-functional planning, execution, and risk mitigation.
With support from BD, develop and recommend new target and/or partnership opportunities with a clear scientific rationale and actionable business case.
Utilize external networks and relationships to inform pipeline strategy decisions and identify new areas of research that can help TESARO address un-met needs of patients living with cancer.
Contribute to authorship of IND applications, invention disclosures, investigator brochures, and regulatory filings.
Support annual long range and operating planning and tracking of early development programs in collaboration with R&D Operations.
Work closely with other leaders in R&D, New Product Planning, and Investor Relations to enhance scientific understanding and the building of effective communication tools to describe the activity of drug candidates and their potential benefit to patients.

Requirements:

Ph.D. /- M.D. in a scientific discipline with experience in leading discovery and development programs to IND, FIM, or POC.
15 years of oncology experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
5 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary early development teams.
A solid understanding of current cancer science trends and relevance to the development of new therapeutics.
Demonstrated leadership of small molecule and biotherapeutic drug development from discovery into early clinical evaluation.
Experience integrating all critical product development disciplines (nonclinical, clinical, CMC, RA/QA, commercial strategy and development).
Deep experience with successful IND and/or NDA submissions.
Relationship focused individual with an industry network and proven ability to develop and sustain productive external relationships.
Ability to prioritize, manage time efficiently and strong track record of implementing creative solutions with impactful results in early drug development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated in a cross-functional team environment.The ability to manage self and interact productively with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.
Requires a flexible work schedule to accommodate program priorities as needed.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
